Frequently Asked Questions
Please review the EBie Rules and Award Categories for full program details in addition to these FAQs.
How are entries evaluated?
The Jury will evaluate each submission with the EBie Scorecard; please review this document before preparing your entry. Performance improvements count for two-thirds of the overall score for most award categories; the jury also considers scalability, innovation, and challenges overcome.
Where and when will the EBie Awards be held? How much are tickets?
The 2016 EBie Awards will be held in New York City on June 20, 2016. We anticipate a ticket price of $225, which includes cocktails and dinner. Each member of a finalist team will be able to purchase one half-price ticket.
We will also have a limited number of reserved tables available for purchase.
Do you normalize energy data for weather?
Yes. EBie Award scoring is based on changes reflected in your Portfolio Manager Current Source Energy Intensity, which is normalized for weather.
Can I submit my project for more than one award?
Yes, we encourage you to submit your project for all the categories that apply. The 2016 Submission Form allows you to select multiple categories for your project.
How do you verify the information provided in the EBie Submission Form?
Once a project is selected as finalist, we will request additional documentation and may do a site visit.
Can I start my online EBie Award submission and finish it later?
Yes you can! Simply select Save my progress and resume later. You will be asked for your email address so that you can log in again.
I would prefer to mail my entry. Where do I send it?
All entries must be submitted online. Mailed entries will not be considered.
How do you pronounce EBie?
